Gurugram, March 6 (). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 from its Gurugram regional office. On March 6, 2026, ED has provisionally attached immovable properties worth approximately Rs 206.40 crore in a money laundering case involving M/s TDI Infrastructure Limited.
The attached properties include around 8.3 acre land parcels and various commercial units located at Kamaspur in Haryana’s Sonipat district. These properties are registered in the name of TDI Infrastructure Limited and its associated companies.
The ED investigation is based on 26 FIRs and chargesheets filed by Delhi Police and Delhi’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW). According to the allegations, the promoters and managers of TDI Infrastructure Limited have duped home buyers. The company had launched several residential and commercial projects in Sonipat, taking approximately Rs 4,619.43 crore as advance bookings from 14,105 customers between 2005 and 2014.
However, many projects faced huge delays. Occupation certificates have not yet been issued for four projects, while one project ‘Park Street’ is still incomplete. Despite a delay of 16-18 years, customers did not get possession of the flats/units. Investigation revealed that instead of completing the project, the promoters transferred the funds deposited from customers as advance to the subsidiary companies and land owning companies. The funds were also used to repay company loans, other investments and for personal purposes.
Due to this fund diversion, construction in projects came to a halt, due to which customers could not get the property on time. Earlier, properties worth Rs 45.48 crore of the company and associated units have also been attached in this case. Now the total attached value has reached Rs 251.88 crore.
ED said that this action has been taken to stop illegal earnings obtained through fraud and to protect the interests of customers. Further investigation is underway, which will look into misappropriation of funds and other aspects of money laundering. In recent months, ED has taken several major actions in such real estate fraud cases, such as against Ansal Properties, Amrapali Group, etc.
