Indian Air Force Female Officer AFCAT 2022 Recruitment: The young female candidate has a chance to make a career as an officer in the Indian Army. Indian Air Force invites applications from young women for various posts. Vacant posts in Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical) Branch will be filled through this recruitment. Indian Air Force has been actively recruiting women pilots and transport aircraft and helicopter pilots over the years. In 1991, for the first time, the Indian Air Force began inviting women cadets to serve as officers in branches other than medical. In 1994, the IAF started inducting women as transport and helicopter pilots. Women officers are being given permanent commission in the JAG (Legal) branch of the Indian Army and the Education Corps. Women in the Indian Air Force (IAF) are doing well in many branches which include air traffic control, technical, meteorology, administration, accounts, JAG and logistics.
Short Service Commission in Flying Branch
Graduate/Engineer candidates can enter the Flying Branch of the Air Force Academy, where the shortlisted candidates are trained as Fighter Pilots or Helicopter Pilots or Transport Pilots and are part of various peace and wartime missions. Candidates can apply for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch through AFCAT. Short Service Commission in Flying Branch is for 14 years.

Age Limit:
20 to 24 years (at the time of commencement of the course). Upper age limit is relaxable up to 26 years for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India).

educational qualification:-
– Minimum 50% marks each in Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level.
– Graduation (three year course) in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent or BE/ B Tech (four year course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent .
Passed in Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
Final year students are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any backlog at the time of AFSB test and produce degree certificate issued by the university as per the date prescribed in the advertisement.
