Shaheed Diwas 2022 Speech Essay: The sacrifice of great freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru can never be forgotten in the fight for the freedom of the country. March 23 is the day when these three great patriots were hanging on the gallows laughing for their country. On the night of 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged by the British government.
The hanging of Bhagat Singh and his companions Rajguru and Sukhdev is one of the biggest and most important events recorded in the history of India. Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru shot and killed a British junior police officer, John Saunders, in Lahore in 1928 (Lahore Conspiracy Case). All three were sentenced to death for this. All three were hanged on 23 March 1931 inside the Lahore Central Jail. Sukhdev was also held guilty in this case. The date of sentencing was March 24, but was hanged a day earlier.
On the occasion of martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, many programs are being organized at different places across the country. In many places, Martyr’s Day is celebrated as Youth Empowerment Day.

Respected teachers and dear friends,
Although there were many freedom fighters in the freedom struggle of the country, but among them there were three such revolutionaries whose thoughts and personalities still inspire the youth. Today is the day to remember the sacrifice of great patriot Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. March 23 was the day when these three laughingly hanged themselves on the gallows for the country. On the night of 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged by the British government along with Sukhdev and Rajguru for the Lahore conspiracy. This is the reason that every year 23 March is celebrated as Martyr’s Day in the memory of these three martyrs.
Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were the true sons of Mother India, who gave more importance to their patriotism and patriotism than their lives and sacrificed their lives for the motherland. On 23 March Martyr’s Day, the whole country pays homage to the sacrifice of these heroes with a soaked heart.
At the age of 12, Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh had jumped into the freedom movement. Bhagat Singh had become an inspiration for the youth due to his courageous exploits. He gave the slogan of Inquilab Zindabad. The torch of ideological revolution he lit in his short life is still alive today.
Lastly, I salute the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country.
