Ranchi: Jharkhand’s Higher and Technical Education Department has launched an initiative to prepare a comprehensive action plan to expand smart classrooms and digital libraries in universities and colleges of the state. Under this scheme, a state level online survey is being conducted to assess the facilities available in government universities, constituent colleges and technical institutes.
According to Higher Education Director cum Executive Director Sudhir Bada, the main objective of this survey is to find out how many smart classrooms, libraries, digital resources and technical equipment are in working condition in which institution at present. Institutions have been instructed to update this complete information through Google Form by July 31.
Based on the data obtained from the survey, establishment of new smart classrooms, renovation of old equipment and automation of the library will be done as per the need. This will create a strong digital infrastructure in higher educational institutions across the state, which will provide better opportunities for research and modern education to the students.
