With this, the path has been cleared for him to become the Chief Minister. A little while ago, Vijay met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar for the third time in three days. It is being said in media reports that the Governor has invited him to form the government and his swearing-in ceremony may take place at 11 am on Saturday (May 9).
However, it was not so easy for Vijay. For this, he not only had to wait for three days but also had to make rounds of Lok Bhawan and also contact small parties for support. According to sources, this became possible only after the agreement regarding power sharing and ministerial posts. However, CPI has said that it has given unconditional support so that BJP can be stopped from playing political games in the state, but sources are saying that it has been agreed to include CPI in the cabinet.

All three parties were earlier allies of DMK
The big thing is that these three parties supporting TVK were also earlier allies of DMK. In the changed political equation, DMK chief M.K. Stalin gave them complete freedom to decide alliances based on their political interests. It is reported that Vijay may also get the support of one of the two IUML MLAs and the only winning candidate of TTV Dhinakaran-led party ‘Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam’ (AMMK), but it has not been formally announced yet.
TVK won 108 seats single-handedly
Let us tell you that in Tamil Nadu elections, TVK single-handedly won 108 seats, while DMK was reduced to only 59 seats and AIADMK got only 47 seats. With the support of smaller allies, TVK’s strength in the assembly has now increased to 120, which is more than the 117 seats required for majority. Now its account includes 107 seats from TVK (Vijay will give up one seat), Congress (5), VCK (2), CPI (2), CPM (2), IUML (1) and AMMK (1). However, with Vijay securing majority, the impasse with the Governor has also ended; At first the Governor was not confident that Vijay would be able to muster the necessary numbers to form the government.
