Bengal Election Result 2026: The results of the assembly elections of five states including West Bengal are being announced. BJP has registered a historic victory in West Bengal, while it is also making a comeback in Assam and Puducherry. Congress led UDF alliance is going to form government in Kerala. Actor Vijay’s party TVK has done wonders in Tamil Nadu and has become the biggest party. Mamata Banerjee has suffered the biggest setback in this election, where her party has been defeated after being in power for one and a half decade. Many opposition leaders had come to make TMC win, including Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Last month, Kejriwal reached Kolkata on a two-day visit and held a rally for TMC candidate Kunal Ghosh in Beleghata seat. During this, he fiercely targeted BJP. This area falls in East Kolkata. Here TMC candidate Kunal Ghosh has got a big victory. Kunal is a big leader of TMC. He has secured more than 66 thousand votes, while BJP candidate Partha Chaudhary was at the second position, who got more than 36 thousand votes.
Kejriwal had addressed three rallies on April 26, two in Kolkata and one in Howrah. He had come to Ballygunge assembly seat to support senior TMC leader Shobhandev Chattopadhyay. Here too Shobhandev won, while the BJP candidate came second. Shobhandeb has got more than one lakh votes. At the same time, he also addressed a rally at Rash Bihari assembly seat in South Kolkata. Senior BJP leader Swapan Dasgupta is in the election fray from here. He is winning from this seat. He got more than 67 thousand votes, while TMC candidate Debashish Kumar stood second.
Road show was also done in Tamil Nadu
Arvind Kejriwal’s election campaign was not limited to West Bengal only, but he also did a road show in Tamil Nadu with MK Stalin in Chennai. Arvind Kejriwal joined Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin at a massive DMK rally and alleged that the AIADMK is under the control of the BJP. He had described NDA as New Delhi alliance. However, Stalin himself suffered a major setback and this time he lost the election from Kolathur assembly seat. Actor Vijay’s party has registered a historic victory in Tamil Nadu and is leading on 109 seats.
