Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Monday postponed his upcoming British tour after the ‘tragic’ terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
Salman was to perform on May 4 and 5 in Manchester and London with Madhuri Dixit Nene, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Manish Paul under the show ‘The Bollywood Big One’ show.
In a statement on Instagram, “Tiger 3” Star said that he and his team took this decision because “it is right to stay in this hour of grief”.
He wrote, “In view of the recent incidents in Kashmir recently, and with great grief, we have taken a difficult decision to request the promoters to postpone the Bollywood Big One Show, which were originally to be held on May 4 and 5 in Manchester and London.”
The statement said, “Although we understand how much our fans were waiting for these demonstrations, but we feel that it is appropriate to stay in this hour of grief. We apologize honestly for any disappointment or inconvenience and appreciate your wisdom and support wholeheartedly.”
It states that the new dates of the show will be announced soon.
Salman is one of the film personalities who condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last week in which 26 people were killed, most of which were tourists.
He wrote, “The heaven of the earth is turning into Kashmir hell. Innocent people are being targeted, my condolences are with their families. Killing a single innocent is equivalent to killing the entire work.”
