India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025: The relations between India and Pakistan were already tense and now there is more opposition after this match of the Asia Cup 2025 played between India and Pakistan. India-Pakistan cricket match has always been more than just sports. Emotions, history, politics and national identity also include it. Prior to the Asia Cup 2025, hashtags like #Boycottindvpak, #Shameonbcci are rapidly trending on social media platform X. Fans, political parties and affected families are angry that it was allowed to play matches with Pakistan after doing big things during the recent Pahalgam terror attack and operation vermilion.

The main causes of trend

1. Pahalgam attack and condolences to citizens: 26 innocent people died in the Pahalgam attack. The public feels that salt is being sprinkled on their wounds due to the policy of the government/BCCI.

2. Political pressure and protest: Opposition parties, local leaders and social media users have described the match as “insult to martyrs”. The government is alleged to have ignored emotions due to sports and business.

3. Low ticket sales and decline in advertising rates: Despite the popularity of the match, ticket booking is slow and a decrease in advertising rates has been recorded as sponsors and broadcasters are also concerned with public response.

4. Pressure on players and management: The atmosphere spread on social media is also affecting the team members. They will have to be mentally prepared in such an environment.

Below is the list of some tweets that show this trend:

India Pakistan should not have a match in Asia Cup.

A few days ago innocent Indian people were martyred …

Why is the people who talk about the interest of the country are silent now?

Cricket and money are so important that forgot the cowardly act of Pakistan so soon.#Boycottindvpak pic.twitter.com/9v1Zxzdbry

#Boycottindvpak

This isn’t just a game. It’s about National Pride, Dignity, and Respect for our martyrs.

BCCI May Hide Behind Tournament Commitments, but no tournament is about the sacrifices of our jawans. If Money Weighs More than lives, then shame on that that there is the call.…

– Aakanksha Gupta (@Aakankashalovely) September 14, 2025

Seriously, this is a disgrace, seeing #BCCI and the #India Team Shaking Hands With Mohsin Naqvi after Pakistan-Sponsored Terrorists Killed Our Bravehearts is just wrong. #SURYAKUMARYADAV Smiling like this shows no respect for our Soldiers, and those supporting this #Indvspak,

Father seeks information from police about traffic challans of future son-in-law before daughter's marriage Rayadupalem: A father in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district sought information from police about traffic challans against vehicles of his future son-in-law before his daughter's marriage to ascertain his sense of responsibility and driving skills. An official gave this information on Thursday. The police officer described this act as rare and deliberate, saying that the man found it more accurate to assess the character of his future son-in-law based on his behavior on the road, rather than gathering information in the traditional manner. "The man wanted to know whether his future son-in-law was involved in rash driving, drunken driving or repeatedly violating traffic rules. We appreciated his sense of responsibility," the officer said. According to the police, the man had lost his wife several years ago and raised his daughter single-handedly. He said that this father, after facing many difficulties, educated his daughter and made her an engineer. Having recently found a suitable match for his daughter, the father on Tuesday approached the Rayadupalem traffic police with the registration numbers of a car and a two-wheeler belonging to the future son-in-law. Police said that the man believed that a person's behavior while driving often reflects discipline, patience and a sense of social responsibility, so he inquired about the old challans before giving permission for the marriage. After investigation, police did not find any pending challans or serious traffic violations related to the vehicles. The officer said he was pleasantly surprised by the unusual request and appreciated the man's responsible and practical approach in finding a husband for his daughter.
