New Delhi, May 12 (IANS). Amid the controversy over the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 exam following paper leak, eminent educationist Anand Kumar on Tuesday urged the Central government to investigate the National Testing Agency (NTA) to find out the ‘root’ of such repeated incidents.
Anand Kumar, the architect of the Super 30 initiative, told news agency IANS: “The question paper’s guess sheets had reached the students several days before the exam. Whatever has happened is very wrong and NTA’s negligence is partly responsible for this.”
Anand Kumar appealed to the Central Government to investigate NTA. He said, “There should be an investigation as to why these question paper leaks are happening again and again. Students are losing faith in both the examination system and the government.”
The academician also appealed to the government to find out the “root” of such acts. “As per reports, influential people and mafia are involved in the question paper leak,” he said.
Anand said that with the increasing number of coaching centres, education has become a business in the country.
He claimed, “People are earning crores of rupees from this. Such people then take ‘guess classes’ and leak questions through the guess paper.”
He urged the government to identify such people and take strict action against them. Anand Kumar also said that the law made for coaching centers should be strictly followed.
The educationist also stressed that it is the responsibility of everyone, including teachers and the media, to understand the situation of students and the pain of their parents. He said that it is the duty of teachers to motivate students in such difficult circumstances.
He said, “We are constantly telling students not to panic, but consider this as another opportunity to improve. Students also need to be taught that the path to success can never be a shortcut.”
Anand Kumar urged students to prepare well for the rescheduled exams and stay away from any kind of negativity.
