New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). Yellow turmeric is mainly used in the kitchen, which is used for color and taste. Yellow turmeric is rich in many properties, but the properties of yellow turmeric seem less in comparison to Amba turmeric.
Amba turmeric is generally known as white turmeric, which looks like ginger, but this turmeric has a light mango smell. For this reason it was called Amba turmeric.
Amba turmeric is considered a medicine in Ayurveda. Amba turmeric has been used in Ayurveda for the diagnosis of diseases. It has antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, which provide relief from skin diseases, cancer, cold, joint pain, wound healing, reducing swelling and digestive system problems.
Both consumption and application of Amba turmeric are beneficial for the skin. With this, facial problems like pimples, itching, unhealthy scalp and skin diseases can be cured. Amba can add turmeric to milk, boil it and drink it or make pickle from it. Amba turmeric has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which relieve every skin problem.
Consumption of Amba turmeric helps in improving digestion. Consuming it increases digestion power and removes problems like gas and indigestion. Not only this, swelling of intestines or liver also reduces with its consumption. For this, a decoction of Amba turmeric can also be taken. If Amba turmeric is taken with Giloy then the immunity also increases.
Amba turmeric has been used for centuries to treat injuries. Being antibacterial, Amba turmeric prevents the spread of wound infection and helps in healing the wound as soon as possible. The problem of delayed wound healing is seen in diabetic patients. In such a situation, use of Amba turmeric heals the wound quickly.
The problem of joint pain increases in winter. In such a situation, Amba turmeric can be given by boiling it with milk or cooking it in oil and applying it on the painful area will provide relief. It helps in reducing both joint pain and swelling.
