New Delhi, May 14 (IANS). World Yoga Day (21st June) is coming closer, on this occasion, the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India is continuously advising people to join yoga and remain disease free. In order to create awareness, the Ministry is giving information about new Yogasanas every day and also giving advice on the benefits and precautions to be taken from them.
In the latest post on social media platform Instagram, the Ministry has given the solution to get rid of the pain of migraine. The ministry calls yoga a natural and effective solution. Migraine is a much more serious problem than a simple headache. This sharp pain often occurs on one side of the head. Along with this, nausea, dizziness, bright light and loud noise can also cause problems.
Today’s hectic life, sitting for hours in front of mobile and computer screens, working in wrong posture, irregular sleep and constant stress promote migraine. These habits create tension in the muscles of the neck, shoulders and head, which gradually triggers migraine attacks.
According to health experts, instead of relying on medicines, regular yoga practice helps in controlling this problem from its roots in the long run. By including Yogasana in daily routine, body posture is corrected, muscles become loose, blood circulation improves and the mind gets deep peace. This reduces stress and reduces the intensity of migraine.
Talking about yogasanas and pranayams beneficial in migraine, there are many asanas and pranayams including Pawanmuktasana, Bhramari, Marjari Asana, whose regular practice can solve the problem of migraine.
Bhujangasana or Cobra Asana strengthens the spine and relieves neck tension. Pawanmuktasana reduces the tension in the stomach and waist, provides relief from gas and indigestion. At the same time, Marjari Asana removes stiffness of neck and back. Tadasana improves body posture and increases concentration. Bhramari Pranayam provides instant relief from tension headache by calming the mind and Shitali Pranayam cools the body and controls heat-related triggers of migraine.
By practicing these asanas daily in the morning or evening for 15-20 minutes in a calm environment, gradually good results start appearing. In the beginning it is better to practice under the supervision of a yoga expert.
