New Delhi, June 19 (IANS). The re-examination of NEET-UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21. Before the re-exam, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an advisory for all medical colleges. In the advisory, it has been asked to be cautious and not to give leave to the students for the next two days.
The National Medical Commission has asked all medical colleges to exercise caution and not release students for urgent cases for the next two days. Additionally, the NMC has prohibited medical students from indulging in activities that may impact the ‘sanctity and integrity’ of the examination process.
“Such cases have been reported in the past, in which some students of medical colleges were found involved in activities which may affect the sanctity and integrity of the examination process,” a notice issued on Thursday said.
It further said, “In view of this and as a matter of general precaution, all medical colleges are directed to remain vigilant and ensure that students are made aware of the pitfalls of indulging in activities against the conduct of the examination.”
NMC directed all medical colleges not to grant leave to students on June 20 and 21 except in special circumstances. “This step has been taken to prevent any possible misuse and facilitate fair conduct of the examination,” it said.
The commission has also attached an official message from the higher education department and directed all medical colleges to ‘strictly follow’ the advisory.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday stressed on maintaining the highest standards of honesty, transparency and efficiency in the NEET-UG re-examination. Addressing a review meeting, Dharmendra Pradhan directed all officials to remain alert and asked the officials to ensure necessary arrangements for fair and transparent conduct of the re-examination.
