New Delhi, March 26 (IANS). To escape the heat of summer, the trend towards natural and traditional things is increasing. One of these is Gulkand made from fresh rose petals, which is not only delicious but also keeps the body and mind cool.
Gulkand is considered the best companion of summer. Gulkand is prepared by mixing fresh rose petals and sugar or jaggery and cooking them slowly in sunlight. Its aroma and sweet taste have been prevalent in Indian homes for generations. This cooling natural dish is especially popular during the summer season.
This evergreen dish not only provides taste and coolness, but is also a symbol of Indian tradition and excellent cooking. In olden times, grandmothers used to make it at home and feed spoonfuls of Gulkand to children. Even today, making Gulkand and consuming it remains a family tradition in many homes.
