New Delhi, October 16 (IANS). In today’s time, due to watching mobile, computer and TV screens for a long time, eyes get tired quickly and vision becomes weak. In such a situation, simple and natural remedies of Ayurveda can prove to be very beneficial for your eye health. These methods not only give rest to the eyes, but also help in keeping them healthy for a long time.
The first method is Padabhyanga i.e. foot massage. Massage your feet daily with fig or sesame oil. Foot massage not only improves blood circulation but also improves eyesight and prevents many eye diseases.
The second method is cold treatment. Under this, you can keep cold water in your mouth 2 to 4 times a day. By doing this, eyesight remains intact and vision improves.
Apart from this, putting a few drops of cold water in the eyes is also beneficial. Putting a few drops of cold water in the eyes 3-4 times a day cools the eyes and improves vision.
Another easy solution is to place hands wet with water on the eyes. Along with this, it is also important to wash hands after every meal. These habits help in preventing problems like refractive errors, cataract.
The method of bathing is also very effective in protecting the eyes. It is good to take bath with hot water daily, but if very hot water is poured on the head daily, it can weaken the eyesight. Therefore, while bathing your head, keep the temperature of water balanced.
Furthermore, Ayurveda also teaches that eye care is not limited to just the eyes, but is related to the entire lifestyle. Sleeping on time, balanced diet, yoga and regular exercise are very important for eye health.
