New Delhi, December 30 (IANS). Flowers have special significance in Sanatan Dharma. These are not only used in worship and adornment, but are also invaluable for health. In Ayurveda, flowers are said to be a treasure trove of medicinal properties. Herbal tea made from flowers is very tasty and also keeps the body and mind fresh. The antioxidants, vitamins and minerals present in them strengthen immunity, reduce stress and maintain freshness with energy throughout the day.
Apart from lotus, hibiscus, parijat, banafsha, krishnakamal, vishnukanta, sunflower, and rose, there are many other flowers from which tea made is especially beneficial for health.
Maulshree’s tea: Maulshree’s flowers, full of medicinal properties, provide relief from many physical and mental problems. At the same time, tea made from its flowers is also no less beneficial. Maulshree is especially beneficial for health. In case of skin related problems like itching, rash or infection, the paste or decoction of bark and leaves of Maulshree proves beneficial. At the same time, tea made from its flowers shows its effect in fever or chronic cough.
Lotus Tea: Sacred lotus flowers are soothing. This tea provides relief from fever, thirst, skin diseases, burning sensation and diarrhea. Keeps the mind calm and induces good sleep.
Hibiscus Tea: Rich in Vitamin C, this tea reduces blood pressure, maintains good heart health and boosts immunity. Makes the skin glowing and is also helpful in controlling weight.
Parijat (Harsingar) tea: It is a panacea for joint pain and arthritis. This tea reduces inflammation, reduces fever and strengthens immunity. Tea made from Parijat flowers is not only effective in removing infections but also in treating cold and cough.
Banafsha tea: Banafsha tea is beneficial in respiratory problems, cough and skin diseases. It has calming properties, which relieve stress.

Tea can be easily made from these flowers. For this, add 1-2 spoons of dried flowers or fresh flowers in a cup of hot water and soak for 5-10 minutes, after that heat it on low flame. Then filter and drink. If you want, you can also add honey and lemon to it for taste. With regular consumption, body and mind remain healthy, freshness remains, and energy level remains high.
