New Delhi, November 2 (IANS). Skin is not just a symbol of beauty but also a mirror of our health. In today’s time, where the use of chemical based cosmetics has become common, Ayurveda shows us the way to get the true beauty of the skin in a natural way.
Real beauty comes not from mere superficial care, but from the balance of body and mind. Ayurvedic remedies nourish and brighten the skin without any side effects. Ayurveda describes many herbs like Neem, Turmeric, Manjishtha, Aloe Vera, Rose, Sandalwood, Tulsi and Triphala, which nourish the skin from within and make it disease free and glowing.
Neem purifies blood and helps in acne, boils or allergies. Turmeric reduces inflammation and brings natural glow to the skin. Manjistha makes the skin healthy by removing blemishes, while aloe vera provides coolness and moisture. Rose water tones the skin and cleanses the pores. Sandalwood and basil give coolness and energy to the skin.
Triphala cleanses the stomach and improves the skin and Haridra section is beneficial in allergies, itching or rashes. The combination of coconut oil and clove camphor maintains skin moisture and protects from infection.
A mixture of home remedies like gram flour, turmeric, sandalwood powder, rose water, neem powder and curd is very effective for skin care. Applying it twice a week keeps the skin soft, glowing and healthy.
Apart from this, it is very important to follow proper eating habits and regular routine. One should avoid consuming unhealthy or fried foods. These not only spoil your skin but are also harmful for health. Instead, you should consume green vegetables, seasonal fruits and things with less oil and spices. Also, do some exercise daily and get at least 8 hours of good sleep.
