New Delhi, October 22 (IANS). In Indian culture, lighting lamps is not just a part of religious ritual, but is associated with energy, science and health. Especially when the lamp is lit with pure ghee of the local cow, it not only becomes a medium of worship of God, but also purifies the surrounding environment and deeply calms the mind.
According to Ayurveda, ghee lamp is not only a decoration for worship but also a powerful medium to spread the light of health, positivity and spirituality in our lives. It is beneficial for body, mind and soul.
The first and most direct benefit is the destruction of negative energy. Lighting a lamp in the house in the morning and evening not only spreads light but also removes negative energy from the environment. The special thing is that while the oil lamp leaves its effect for half an hour after being extinguished, the ghee lamp maintains positive energy for four hours after being extinguished.
The second major benefit is to attract auspicious powers. Sanatan tradition believes that where a lamp is lit daily, darkness, poverty and negativity never last there. A burning ghee lamp becomes a magnet that attracts divine powers towards itself, thereby creating happiness, peace and prosperity in the house.
The third important aspect is the purity of the environment. Seen from a scientific point of view, when a lamp burns with ghee, its smoke destroys harmful germs and microscopic particles. This smoke helps in making the air pure and germ-free.
The fourth benefit is protection from diseases. Ayurveda says that ghee has the power to cure skin diseases. This effect increases even more by lighting a lamp mixed with cloves. This provides relief from problems like respiratory diseases, allergies and stress.
