New Delhi, January 25 (IANS). For women, the journey of pregnancy is lovely and challenging, where the joy of the coming baby and the changes in the body cause pain.
The problem of heartburn is common in women during pregnancy. In the initial stage of pregnancy, mothers are not able to eat anything properly and if they eat, they start feeling heartburn and vomiting. In such a situation, by taking some small measures, pregnant women can get relief from the problem of heartburn.
First, eat less to avoid heartburn. Pregnant women should eat at short intervals. Eating too much at one time can cause heartburn and nausea, so whenever you eat, eat in small quantities, this will keep both the stomach and mind good.
Second, avoid spicy and fried foods. During pregnancy, one feels like eating spicy food and this food becomes a major cause of heartburn. In such a situation, avoid excess chilli, oily food, coffee and sour fruits. Citrus fruits can also cause heartburn.
Third, the body feels very tired in the early stages of pregnancy. In such a situation, I neither feel like traveling much nor doing anything. In such a situation, keep in mind that do not lie down immediately after eating food. Lie down only 2-3 hours after eating food and drink plenty of water. Drinking water reduces heartburn.
Fourth, wear loose clothes during pregnancy. Tight clothes put pressure on the stomach and increase burning sensation. Some women wear tight clothes during pregnancy, due to which the body feels irritation and strain. In such a situation, wear cotton and open clothes.
Fifth, eat a comfort diet during pregnancy. Include foods like banana, curd, oats and coconut water in your diet. Coconut water has a cooling effect, which provides relief from heartburn. If the burning sensation is very severe then consult your doctor once. In such cases, doctors also give some medicines.
