New Delhi, February 10 (IANS). Diabetes and Thyroid are one of the fastest growing diseases at present, where 7 out of every 10 people are suffering from Diabetes and Thyroid and some are not aware that they are suffering from these diseases. After diabetes and thyroid, lung cancer is increasing rapidly across the country.
According to the ICMR report, in the year 2025, new cancer cases have been registered in 81,219 men and 30,109 women. The Ministry of AYUSH is continuously spreading awareness about lung cancer among the people.
Now the Ministry of AYUSH has shared a post regarding awareness about lung cancer and has talked about the symptoms related to the disease and the methods of cure. The AYUSH Ministry said in the post that even mild cough and common respiratory diseases can sometimes turn into cancer. Lung cancer symptoms are often mild or similar to common respiratory diseases, which may delay diagnosis. It is extremely important to recognize symptoms such as persistent cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain or weight loss for no apparent reason.
The AYUSH Ministry clarified that there can be many reasons for lung cancer and it does not just include tobacco and smoking, it also involves indirect smoking, air pollution and commercial industries involving chemicals or asbestos that pose risks. If the symptoms are identified at the right time and advice and treatment is taken from the doctor, then the lives of many people can be saved.
Now let us know what lung cancer is. Normally, lung cells divide to form separate cells, and this is a very normal process, but sometimes irregular changes are seen in the new cells that break and form, which takes the form of a tumor and will not allow the organ to function properly. There are mainly two types of cancer in the lungs.
The first is non-small cell lung cancer and the second is small cell lung cancer. In India, cases of non-small cell lung cancer are more common and it can be treated at the right time, but small cell lung cancer spreads rapidly to every part of the body and is more dangerous than non-small cell lung cancer.
