Noida, 8 October (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government has shown strictness after the deaths due to phlegm syrup in many states including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Drugs Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has started taking samples of syrup.
In Gautam Budh Nagar and Noida district, the officials of the drug department have collected samples from factories and sent them to Lucknow and Gorakhpur for investigation.
Samples are being collected after examining different companies and factory in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, Inspector Jai Singh of the District Drugs Department, Jai Singh, suddenly inspected the high glance laboratories in the industrial area of Greater Noida. During this, he went to the packaging department and collected samples of syrup from different places.
After investigation, the inspector of the District Drug Department took about 8 syrup samples and sealed them. These samples have been sent to Gorakhpur laboratory for investigation, whose report will come in 15 to 30 days.
Speaking to IANS, Inspector of District Drug Department, Jai Singh said that the samples that have been sent, if the sample of any factory fails, then there is a provision of life imprisonment and financial penalty is also imposed.
Factories are being investigated by campaigning in the city. Even before this, different medical stores in Gautam Budh Nagar and 10 syrup samples from hospital have been sent to Lucknow.
He said that if someone is buying a syrup, do not forget to take the bill from the shop because all the information of the syrup is written in the bill. Along with this, definitely take the expiry of the medicine. Those who refuse to pay the medical store bills come under the scanner and can be complained in the department. Action on factories will be initiated only after the sample report comes.
