New Delhi, 17 September (IANS). Nowadays, more use of mobiles and computers, working for hours sitting in the same place and sitting or sleeping wrongly, the problem of cervical has become common among people.
In medical language it is called cervical spondylitis. It is not just neck pain, but gradually affects the shoulders, head and hands. Many people start having dizziness, listening to the ears or pain behind the eyes. If not paid attention to time, then there may also be a big problem like disc hernation.
Indeed, our spinal cord has 33 vertebrae, out of which 7 are in the neck. These are called cervical vertebra. When these bones or discs are overwhelmed or disorders begin to occur, this problem starts.
Physicians often recommend painkillers, physiotherapy, or surgery in case of more problems. However, the problem is that medicines only give rest for some time and its intake can be harmful to the body for a long time.
According to Ayurveda, the problem of cervical is due to increasing Vata Dosha. When vata increases in the body, tightness and pain starts in bones and veins. In Ayurvedic remedies, the consumption of drugs like oil massage, lukewarm water, Triphala, Ashwagandha and Guggul is considered very beneficial. Also, yogasan like Bhujangasana, Tadasana and Makarasana are also very effective.
It is equally important to take care of eating and drinking with other things. Green vegetables, sprouted grains, milk-curd, sesame and calcium and vitamin-D rich should be included in the diet. At the same time, it is better to distance away from fried and junk food. It is also necessary to drink enough water throughout the day and rest on time.
