New Delhi, January 21 (IANS). Protein is very important for the body to run smoothly and keep the muscles strong.

People who work out in the gym also take a large portion of protein in their daily routine, because muscles need a lot of protein to recover. Generally there is a belief among people that protein can be obtained mostly from non-vegetarian food, and without the consumption of eggs and non-vegetarian food the body becomes weak, but this is completely wrong.

Vegetarians can consume plant-based proteins. From foreign countries as well as in our country, people are increasingly inclined towards plant-based proteins instead of non-vegetarian proteins. Today we will know how we can include plant-based protein in our diet and what are its benefits. Till now it has been believed that calcium is found in milk and protein is found in meat, but almonds are the best and best alternative for calcium and one can also get rich protein from sprouted pulses.

Protein obtained from plants is more useful for the body, whereas excessive consumption of milk can cause many problems in the body. Additionally, many people are also lactose intolerant; This also causes digestive problems.

Secondly, the protein items included in non-vegetarian food have the highest possibility of increasing cholesterol. Meat, eggs and red meat increase bad fats in the blood and increase the risk of heart disease, but plant-based proteins do not contain cholesterol. Plant-based protein provides fiber to the body, which helps in flushing out waste and also provides plenty of energy to the body.

Now the question is from which things we can take plant-based protein. For this, pulses, soya, tofu, dry fruits, seeds, green vegetables, raw peanuts, and grains can be consumed. For a common person, protein is taken on the basis of his body weight. Suppose your weight is 50 kg, then you will need 50 grams of protein in your diet every day.

For this, you can sprout moong dal, make moong dal cheela, make salad with tofu vegetables, and make kebabs or tikkis of beans and kidney beans.
