New Delhi, May 9 (IANS). Reetha has been used in Ayurveda for centuries for hair and skin care. It is a large deciduous tree, which is found especially in the Himalayan regions and some parts of Bihar. Natural foaming elements (saponins) are found in its fruits, due to which it becomes an excellent natural cleanser.
In today’s time when everything in the market is filled with chemicals, Reetha is a natural alternative which helps in cleaning and caring for hair without any side effects. In old times, people used to use reetha instead of shampoo. Hair was washed by soaking or boiling it in water, which made the hair clean, soft and shiny.
