New Delhi, May 12 (IANS). Modern lifestyle is causing many health problems due to prolonged sitting, less physical activity and stress. The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has advised Gomukhasana to solve these problems. According to the ministry, difficulty in breathing, stiff shoulders, poor body posture and problems in the lower body can be related to asthma.
According to the ministry, discomfort and other problems are often caused by muscle strain, stress and lack of mobility. Your asthma, stiff shoulders, weak back, hip pain or poor posture may also be related to tight muscles and reduced movement. In such a situation, to overcome these problems and keep the body balanced, the Ministry of AYUSH recommends regular practice of Gomukhasana.
As part of the preparations for World Yoga Day, the Ministry of AYUSH is giving information to the common people about such simple and effective yogasanas, which can be easily done at home. Gomukhasana is especially useful for people who have desk jobs or remain in the same posture for long periods of time.
Gomukhasana is helpful in opening the chest, stretching the shoulders and hips well and improving the spine. This asana is very beneficial for body balance and relaxation. Its regular practice improves respiratory health and helps reduce muscle tension caused by prolonged sitting or physical inactivity.
Practicing Gomukhasana provides physical and mental benefits. Its practice opens the chest, which makes breathing easier and provides relief from problems like asthma. Stiffness in shoulders and back goes away. The flexibility of the joints of the hips and lower body increases. The spine is straight, which improves posture. Stress in the body is reduced and mental peace is achieved.
However, Gomukhasana should be practiced correctly and under proper guidance. If there is difficulty in the beginning then increase the practice gradually. Pregnant women, people with serious knee or shoulder problems should do yoga only after consulting a doctor or expert.
