New Delhi, March 28 (IANS). In this season of heat, heat and humidity, the need for cold water has started troubling everyone. Most people drink cold water from the fridge for relief, but experts say that sometimes it hurts the throat or increases stomach related problems. In such a situation, water from a pot or pitcher made of clay is very beneficial for health.
Along with taste and coolness, pot water also provides many important benefits to health. Water kept in an earthen pitcher remains naturally cool and its properties remain intact. In Ayurveda it is considered similar to nectar.
Modern doctors also say that pot water is better than fridge water. The water in the pot has a slight earthy smell, which feels very pleasant to drink. According to health experts, this water is beneficial for everything from throat to intestines. Even sick people can drink it without any worry. Due to soil, it contains natural nutrients, which are beneficial for the body.
The biggest quality of water kept in a pot is that the soil absorbs the impurities of the water. This removes toxic elements accumulated in the body and strengthens the immune system. Water from the refrigerator can often cause sore throat, heat rash or other problems, whereas water from the pot protects from all these.
The Ministry of AYUSH also advises to drink lukewarm water in the morning. It is better to drink it in an earthen or copper vessel. Due to this, the digestive system remains active and harmful substances are easily removed from the body. This is the cheapest, safest and most effective way to stay hydrated in summer.
The amount of minerals increases in pot water, whereas they decrease in refrigerator water. The alkaline properties of soil keep the pH level of the body balanced. This improves digestion, increases immunity and keeps body temperature under control. Matka water is completely natural and chemical free. Consuming it daily during summer season keeps the body healthy and fresh.
