New Delhi, November 8 (IANS). It is said that at the time of giving birth to a child, mothers experience pain like breaking of 206 bones. However, even before that the journey is not easy because women have to face many physical problems during pregnancy, but Yogasana can become a big help in this.

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India provides information about one such yoga asana and Bhadrasana is especially beneficial for women.

The word ‘bhadra’ means ‘strong,’ ‘gentleman,’ or ‘fortunate.’ This asana strengthens the body and provides stability to the brain. Especially for pregnant women and women suffering from stomach pain during menstruation, it is no less than a boon.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, regular practice of Bhadrasana makes pregnancy easier, which can lead to easier delivery. This asana also provides relief to women from unbearable stomach pain and cramps during menstruation. Besides, it also strengthens the body and keeps the mind calm. It also proves to be effective in problems like back pain, fatigue and stress during pregnancy.

Yoga Expert How to practice Bhadrasana? Gives detailed information on this subject. To do Bhadrasana, first sit on a mat spread on the ground. Spread both legs forward. Now bend the knees and connect the soles of the feet together. Bring the heels near the stomach and hold the feet with hands. During this, keep your back and neck straight and close your eyes and take a deep breath and exhale. Initially stay in this asana for 1-2 minutes, gradually increase the time.

Bhadrasana is beneficial for women in many ways. It is also helpful in reducing stomach cramps and pain during periods. It keeps the spine flexible and provides relief from problems like constipation. Bhadrasana is useful not only for physical but also mental health. It is also helpful in relieving stress.

However, pregnant women should practice only after consulting a doctor or yoga expert. Doctor’s advice is necessary before doing any yoga.
