New Delhi, February 23 (IANS). It is believed that three flowers were sent from heaven to earth, which include Aparajita, Parijata and Madhukamini.
All three flowers are known for their excellent fragrance, and along with the fragrance, these flowers also have countless medicinal properties, which provide relief from respiratory to skin related problems. Today we will talk about Madhukamini, which gives lots of flowers in summer and whose maintenance is also easy.
Like its name, Madhukamini is a beautiful and fragrant plant. Being indoor, it can be easily planted inside the house, but very few people know about its medicinal properties. Not only the flowers of Madhukamini but also the leaves and roots have been used in Ayurveda. The captivating aroma of its flowers helps in reducing mental stress and balances hormones.
Madhukamini root powder is easily available in the market. The powder made from its roots works like a tonic for the body. If there is a problem related to stomach or digestion, then powder from its herb can be used. The root powder is believed to intensify the sluggish digestive fire.
If there is a problem of pain or hoarseness in the throat or there is difficulty in breathing as the weather changes, then it is advised to boil Madhukamini flowers and drink the decoction. This clears the throat and also reduces internal swelling. Its leaves can also be used in decoction. Along with this, if there is a problem of toothache or swelling, chewing its leaves will provide relief. Its leaves have anti-inflammatory properties, which help in providing relief from pain.
Perfume oil of Madhukamini is used for therapy. Madhukamini perfume oil is a great option for those who face difficulty in sleeping due to stress or mental fatigue.
