From the month of October itself, cold and cough become more common, because the change in weather becomes visible in the winds. In such weather, both children and adults are affected by infection. For cold and cough, consumption of Ayurvedic decoction and warm water helps in keeping the throat clean and provides relief from phlegm.
Cold and cough bother us only when the body’s immunity is low.
To increase the body’s immunity, Vitamin C, Omega fatty acids and Vitamin D should be taken in abundance, but if cold and cough bother you with the changing weather, then you should make a decoction of ginger, black pepper, turmeric and basil leaves and take it twice a day.
