New Delhi, December 3 (IANS). Today’s lifestyle is becoming dependent on machines. With the help of computers and gadgets, people do not move from their chair or bed and physical activities have reduced.

Due to less physical activities, the body is becoming home to diseases, hence exercise, good diet and walking are very important for a healthy body. Today we will tell you about the benefits of walking to the body, which work faster than any supplement.

In Ayurvedic, walking has been linked to Vata. Walking keeps the vata dosha balanced in the body. Due to the changing weather in winter, both Vata and Kapha increase, hence walking is considered necessary in the winter season. Walking strengthens the heart and digestion, improves sleep, and improves energy flow in the body. Therefore, it is always advisable to take 500 steps after eating. However, walking only after eating is not useful. Walking three hours a day works like medicine for the body.

Morning walk is a source of energy for the body. Walking briskly in the morning provides more oxygen to the body, speeds up metabolism, and reduces stress. For a morning walk, walk briskly for at least 30 minutes and also take deep breaths with outstretched arms. It is important to take a walk even after eating lunch in the afternoon. After eating food, people lie down on the bed out of laziness, but this should not be done. Due to this, obesity increases rapidly. It will be beneficial to walk for 20 minutes after eating food. Due to this, there will be no problem of gas formation, digestion of stomach will also improve, blood sugar will be controlled, and sleep will also improve.

It is also important to take a light walk after having dinner, but one thing to keep in mind is that one should not walk fast at night. Due to this, the body gets activated and the brain is not able to produce sleep inducing hormones, hence walk with light steps. This will improve digestion and the food will nourish the entire body.
