Akasa Air has announced its new airline between Kozhikode and Jeddah. This direct flight is going to start from 13 March 2026. Kozhikode MP M.K. This decision has been taken after talks between Raghavan and airline officials. This will be of great benefit to Umrah pilgrims and Indians working in Gulf countries, as this service is being launched just before Ramzan and Eid.

This service will start from 13 March 2026. The airline has recently added a 33rd aircraft to its fleet as it expands its network, making operations on this route possible.
Fare and luggage rules
Baggage and ticket information is very important for traveling passengers. Booking of tickets for this flight of Akasa Air has started and the rules are as follows:
Rent: The starting fare for a one-way journey is estimated to be around 1,221 Saudi Riyals (approximately ₹27,000 to ₹28,000).
Check-in Baggage: For international flights, passengers can carry up to 30 kg of hand luggage (up to 2 pieces).
Hand Baggage: One bag up to 7 kg will be allowed in the cabin.
Visa Rules: All travelers are required to have a valid passport, and pilgrims must follow Umrah visa rules.
MP Raghavan has also urged the airline to start flights from Kozhikode to other cities like Riyadh, Doha and Kuwait.
