Indore. Two female players of Australia cricket team were molested in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Akil Khan, accused of molestation, has been arrested by the police. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sought a report in this matter. The Australian women’s cricket team, which is playing the semi-final match against South Africa in the Women’s World Cup, is staying at Radisson Blu. According to the information, two Australian cricketers were going from the hotel to a cafe. At the same time, Akil Khan came from behind on a bike and molested him and ran away.
After this incident, Australian women cricketers sent a message to the security squad. After which Danny Simmons, who was looking after the security of the team, reached the spot with his colleagues. Then the Australian players complained of molestation at the MIG police station in Indore. Indore Police became active immediately. A passerby had noted down the number of Akil Khan’s bike. Akil Khan has been arrested on this basis. ACP Himani Mishra of Indore Police has recorded the statements of both the Australian cricket players. According to Indore Police, apart from molesting Australian women cricketers, many cases are already registered against Akil. Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has called this incident shameful and has talked about strict action.
