Margin of victory – 28,978 votes
The contest in Danapur appeared to be in favor of BJP from the beginning. After taking the lead in the initial round, Ramkripal Yadav remained ahead throughout and ultimately emerged victorious with a lead of around 29 thousand votes.

The main fight on Danapur seat was between BJP and RJD, but other candidates lagged behind in the initial round itself.

BJP has got a big boost in Patna district with the victory of Ramkripal Yadav. Danapur seat is considered very important politically and victory here is a big relief for the party.
