After this accident, Railways has announced compensation for the victims. In a statement issued by the Railways, it was said that the following ex-gratia amount has been announced by the Railway Minister for the persons affected in the incident. An assistance amount of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the families of the deceased, Rs 5 lakh to seriously injured passengers and Rs 1 lakh to moderately injured passengers.
