There is a very relieving news for the passengers using public transport in the National Capital Region (NCR). Traveling between Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro has now become even easier and faster. Passengers interchanging between these two major transport services will no longer have to go through long queues and the tedious process of repeated security checks. Under the new system, a major change has been made in the rules of security check, which will have a direct impact on the time saving and travel experience of the passengers.

Convenient system of single point security checking implemented for interchange passengers

Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, the ‘Single Point Security Checking’ system has now been fully implemented. This system means that if a passenger has completed the security check once while starting the journey, he will not have to undergo re-checking at another station while interchanging. This facility is no less than a boon for those passengers who get down from Namo Bharat train and catch Delhi Metro or after getting down from the metro, continue their journey in Namo Bharat. Now they will be able to move seamlessly from one system to another.

The hassle of standing in queues is over, both services are being booked on mobile through integrated QR ticketing.

Not only the security check, but the ticket booking process has also been made very smart. The integrated QR ticketing system between Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro is already working smoothly. Due to this facility, passengers can now book tickets for both the services simultaneously through their mobile app. Due to this, passengers do not have to stand in line again at the ticket counter after reaching the station. With this use of technology, travel is now becoming completely paperless and hassle-free.

Thousands of commuters commuting daily between Delhi, Noida and Meerut will now save a lot of precious time.

The maximum benefit of this new system will be available to those daily commuters who travel between Delhi to Meerut, Delhi to Noida or other cities of NCR. The time which was earlier wasted in security check and ticket taking during the interchange, will now be saved. This system will play an important role in traffic management during peak hours i.e. in the morning and evening when there is heavy crowd at the stations. Due to absence of frequent checking, the movement of passengers will be faster and there will be no unnecessary crowd gathering on the platform.

Travel has become very easy for office goers and students, there will be further improvement in infrastructure in future.

This step will prove to be extremely beneficial especially for working people, school-college students and elderly people who travel daily. Now their journey will be more convenient and less tiring than before. To make the passenger experience world class, there are plans to further improve facilities like Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and escalators in the future, so that passengers do not face any inconvenience even while walking during the interchange.
