Due to the ongoing tension and airspace restrictions in the Middle East, IndiGo has given a major update on its international flights. The airline has canceled approximately 158 to 160 flights scheduled for March 3, 2026. This decision has been taken for security reasons as the airspace of many countries is not safe for use at present. This is big news for Indians living in Gulf countries and those traveling there as it will have a deep impact on travel plans.

Rules for refund and ticket change for passengers
To help the affected passengers, IndiGo has provided special relief for travel till March 7, 2026. If you have booked tickets on or before 28 February 2026, you can change your travel date without any extra charges. The airline is also sending this information to the passengers on their registered contact details.
Full flexibility and waiver will be available for travel till March 7, 2026. Passengers can reschedule their flights without any additional charges. If passengers do not want to travel, they can take a full refund of their ticket. Passengers can check the status of their flight on the airline’s website or ‘Plan B’ portal.
Flights and routes of these countries will be affected
In view of the current situation, airways of many countries in the Middle East have been closed or limited. This is having a direct impact on flights from India to Gulf countries and Europe. The Civil Aviation Ministry has also activated a help center for passenger complaints.

Apart from Indigo, other airlines like Air India and SpiceJet have also made changes in their routes.
