On the US-India trade talks, a spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs said, “To carry forward the ongoing conversation with the US, a team of US trade representatives led by Assistant American Trade Representative Brendon Lynch held meetings in the Ministry of Commerce on 16 September 2025.” During this time the discussion was positive and visionary, in which various aspects of the trade agreement were discussed. It was decided to intensify the efforts to ensure mutually profitable trade agreement.

Randhir Jaiswal said in connection with the threat of Indian consulates in Canada by Khalistani terrorists, it is the responsibility of the Government of Canada to provide security to our diplomatic establishments there. Whenever there is any such concern, we raise it with the Canadian government to ensure that there is adequate protection of our diplomatic complexes.

After the US withdraws exemption in the restrictions associated with the Chabahar port of Iran, Randhir Jaiswal said, “We are currently investigating what will be the impact on India by withdrawing this exemption.” In the case of an Indian engineer’s death from the US police bullet in California, the Ministry of External Affairs said that we are in touch with the local authorities and the family of the deceased.
