The air quality index (AQI) in the national capital was recorded at 318 on Monday morning, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category.
According to the ‘Sameer’ app of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI in 27 centers in Delhi was recorded in the ‘very poor’ category while in 11 centers the AQI was in the ‘poor’ category.
As per CPCB standards, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted fog on Monday.
The minimum temperature in Delhi was 8.7 degrees Celsius, which is 0.9 degrees below normal and relative humidity reached 100 percent in the morning.
The maximum temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees Celsius.
