New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Gujarat today. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many development projects worth more than Rs 34 thousand crore in Bhavnagar. Modi, while addressing the people present there, insisted on making the country self -sufficient. PM said, if India is to be developed by 2047, then the country will have to be self -sufficient. Apart from this, India has no option. There should be only one resolution of 140 crore countrymen, we have to make chip or ship in India itself.

Narendra Modi said that experts present here know that shipbuilding is not an ordinary industry. Globally, the shipbuilding industry is called the ‘mother of all industries’. It is called the mother of industries because it not only makes a ship, but also helps the development of steel, machinery, electronics, textiles, paints, IT systems and many other fields associated with it. This benefits small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Modi said, although this event is being held in Bhavnagar, it is a program of the whole of India. Today, Bhavnagar is an instrument and for what is our direction to go towards ‘prosperity from sea’ all over India, Bhavnagar has been selected today as the center of this important program. PM said, today we are building large ports for big ships in the country. Port contacts are increasing through schemes like Sagarmala. In the last 11 years, India has doubled its port capacity. We are also building new and big ports. Recently, the country’s first deep water container transmission port was inaugurated in Kerala. The pottery port is being constructed in Maharashtra at a cost of over Rs 75,000 crore, which will be one of the top 10 ports in the world.
