On Friday, police arrested Sonam Wangchuk, the police, amid the ongoing agitation demanding state status and sixth schedule in Leh.
According to officials, this action was taken after the violence two days ago, in which four people were killed and around 90 people were injured.
Director General of Police S.K. The police team led by D. Singh Jamwal detained Wangchuk at around 2:30 pm. However, no clear information has been revealed about the allegations against him.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has blamed Wangchuk for the violence. Wangchuk, Leh Apex Body and Kargil are senior members of the Democratic Alliance (KDA). These organizations have been running agitations for more than five years to demand state status and sixth schedule.
However, Wangchuk has denied allegations of inciting violence. He condemned the violence and also ended his 15 -day long fast on Wednesday.
