According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality in Delhi remained in the very poor category on Sunday morning and the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 391.
According to data from the board’s Sameer App, 24 monitoring centers in Delhi reported air quality in the ‘severe’ category while the centers recorded an AQI of more than 300, which puts the air quality in the ‘very poor’ category.
According to CPCB standards, AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.7 degrees more than the average temperature of the season, while the humidity was recorded at 79 percent at 8.30 am.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius with light fog.
