Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday cited recent achievements in various fields from space manufacturing to agriculture and said the dedication of India’s youth is the biggest strength of ‘developed India’.
Prime Minister Modi, in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address, listed the completion of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, the Constitution Day celebrations at the Central Hall and the hoisting of the flag on the Ram temple in Ayodhya among the inspirational events of the month of November.
He also mentioned the inauguration of the world’s largest Leap Engine MRO unit in Hyderabad and the induction of INS ‘Mahe’ into the Indian Navy.
Prime Minister Modi said in the 128th episode of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, “Just last week, Skyroot’s Infinity Campus gave a new flight to India’s space ecosystem. This is a reflection of India’s new thinking, innovation and youth power.”
Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the video of a unique drone competition organized by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on social media.
He said, “In this video, the youth of our country and especially our Gen-Z were trying to fly drones in Mars-like conditions.”
He said that GPS is not possible on Mars, hence the drone cannot get any external signals or instructions, hence the youth were trying to fly the drone without GPS with the help of its camera and inbuilt software.
Modi said that the youth team achieved success after several attempts as their drone fell and crashed several times.
He said that scientists at ISRO were momentarily disheartened when Chandrayaan-2 went out of contact, but on the same day they started writing the success story of Chandrayaan-3.
He said that this is why when Chandrayaan-3 made a successful landing, it was not just the success of a mission, it was the success of the trust built out of failure.
He said, “I saw the same sparkle in the eyes of the youth seen in this video.”
Prime Minister Modi said, “Every time I see the dedication of our youth and the dedication of our scientists, my heart is filled with enthusiasm. This dedication of the youth is a great strength of developed India.
The Prime Minister spoke at length about beekeeping initiatives across the country, achievements in the field of sports, India getting to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030 and his visits to South Africa and Bhutan for the G-20 summit.
