A big facility for air passengers has started at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA). ‘Udan Yatri Café’ has been inaugurated in the check-in hall of Terminal-3. Now the compulsion to buy expensive food at the airport will reduce to a great extent because food items will be available here at a starting price of only Rs 10. Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu has virtually inaugurated this café on March 29, 2026.

This cafe has been specially designed keeping in mind the common travelers. Its aim is to make air travel more inclusive so that even budget travelers can enjoy quality food at the airport. The prices of things available here are kept much lower than the market.
Tea and Water: Available for just Rs 10

Which passengers will benefit most from this facility?
About 120 flights operate from Lucknow Airport every day and about 18,000 to 20,000 passengers fly from here to different cities every day. This new initiative is in line with the government’s ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ (UDAN) programme. Officials of Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL) said that this launch is a big step towards promoting passenger facilities.
This is especially a relief for expatriates and middle-class families who often spend time at the airport before traveling long distances. Now this café present in the check-in hall of Terminal-3 will make the journey of passengers more comfortable and cheaper. According to officials, this café will prove to be an important milestone towards fulfilling the aspirations of modern India.
