Uttar Pradesh minister and Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad on Tuesday took a dig at the opposition grand alliance, saying whatever formula they adopt, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government in Bihar. Speaking to ANI, Nishad stressed that every party and alliance has its own ideology and system, but the leaders of the grand alliance have turned politics into a profession.
He said, “Whatever formula they adopt, NDA will come to power in Bihar… Every alliance has its own ideology and system. Everyone works accordingly, but these people have made politics their profession.” Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma on Tuesday said that the Grand Alliance is on the verge of breaking even before it was formed. He also claimed that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s charisma has faded.
Sharma said, “They (RJD) have no political agenda. The grand alliance is on the verge of breaking even before it can be formed… Everyone knows that Tejashwi’s charisma has faded. Now only Nitish Kumar will be successful.”
Earlier, on Monday, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) released its list of 143 candidates, due to which the ongoing talks regarding seat sharing in the Grand Alliance were almost completed. However, the alliance suffered a blow when Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) formally withdrew from the elections. With this announcement, the structure of the Grand Alliance has also become clear, in which RJD is 143, Congress 61, CPI ML 20 and the remaining seats are likely to go to Mukesh Sahni’s VIP.
The main contest in the 2025 Bihar elections will be between the National Democratic Alliance and the Grand Alliance. The NDA includes the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. The grand alliance led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal includes the Congress Party, the Dipankar Bhattacharya-led Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPI-ML), the Communist Party of India (CPI), (Marxist) (CPM) and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). Apart from this, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj has also staked claim on all the 243 seats in the state.
Voting in Bihar 2025 elections is scheduled to take place on November 6 and 11 respectively, while the results will be declared on November 14.
