Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the state has received investment proposals worth up to Rs 1 lakh crore during the meetings held in Singapore, of which memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 60,000 crore have already been finalised. He described it as an important step towards transforming the state into a $1 trillion economy.

The Chief Minister addressed an investor roadshow in Singapore this morning, in which he presented his state as a safe and fast-growing destination for global investment.
Assuring business leaders of a conducive environment in the state, the Chief Minister said, “I can assure you that every investment coming into Uttar Pradesh is safe. We have not only provided a safe environment but have also shown how to combine scale with skill and speed.” He further said that the state has established a new identity focused on change and development.
Highlighting India’s broader economic progress, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has made significant progress in the last decade and is on the way to becoming the world’s third largest economy.
Adityanath said that in the last nine years, the state gross domestic product (GSDP) in Uttar Pradesh has increased from Rs 13 lakh crore to Rs 36 lakh crore, which contributes 9.5 percent to India’s GDP. He described the state as an “ideal destination” for investment and a top ranked state in terms of ease of doing business and liberalisation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “We have infrastructure and ample land reserves in Uttar Pradesh. It is easy to invest in UP due to the availability of trained and skilled human resources, huge land reserves and a dedicated freight corridor.”
Inviting global investors to become partners in the state’s growth story, Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh offers security, stability and momentum in all sectors, positioning it as a major engine of India’s economic growth.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on an official visit.
The visit to Singapore is being organized from 22 to 24 February to strengthen economic cooperation, institutional partnership and sector-specific cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore.
