Due to lack of whip, their membership is not in danger. If you talk about the number game, then the number of Lok Sabha MPs out of a total of 782 MPs is 543. Among them, NDA has 293 MPs. Whereas, there are 234 MPs from the opposition and 15 MPs from other small parties. At the same time, there are a total of 240 MPs in the Rajya Sabha. Of these, NDA has 134 MPs in favor. Whereas, the opposition has 78 and the number of MPs from other parties is 28. In this way, the NDA has 35 more 427 MPs with a majority. At the same time, the opposition has 80 less than the majority ie 312 votes.
Parliament has 43 members of other parties and independents. Even if he went with the opposition, even then the victory of NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan is certain. Provided that the opposition does not take the big faction with the NDA MPs. According to sources, Telangana’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi i.e. BRS can stay away from the Vice Presidential election. BRS has 3 MPs in Rajya Sabha. At the same time, YSRCP, party of former Telangana CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, may also vote for NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan. This indication has been received due to YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader YV Subba Reddy’s meeting with CP Radhakrishnan on Sunday night. YSRCP has 4 MPs in Lok Sabha and 7 MPs in Rajya Sabha. At the same time, the head of BJD and CM of Odisha Naveen Patnaik are also in Delhi for private work. Naveen Patnaik’s BJD has 7 MPs in Rajya Sabha. If they also vote for CP Radhakrishnan, then their victory will be further confirmed.
