VinFast’s electric SUVs VF 6 and VF 7 have received a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. These cars of Vietnamese company VinFast have set a new standard in terms of safety. VinFast sells both these electric SUVs in India and they have made their place in the Indian market in a short time. This rating is based on the official results released on 21 January 2026.
What is the rating of VinFast VF 6 and VF 7?
Both VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 models have received 5-star safety rating in crash tests. These cars have performed very well in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories.
VinFast VF 6 scored 27.13 out of 32 points in adult protection, while in child protection it got 44.41 points out of 49. At the same time, VinFast VF 7 got 28.54 points out of 32 in adult protection and 45.25 points out of 49 in child protection. These scores make these cars one of the safest vehicles in India.

How was the performance in the crash test?
The performance of these electric SUVs has been excellent in various crash tests. In the frontal impact test, the head, neck and upper legs of the driver and passenger were fully protected (4 out of 4). The VinFast VF 6 received average protection for the driver’s chest. In the side impact test, adults got 16 out of 16 and children got 8 out of 8 full marks. Head injuries were also minimal in the pole side impact test, which indicates the high level of safety in these cars. All these EVs are assembled at the VinFast factory in Tamil Nadu.
