The process of protest against the Governor’s address in the inaugural session of the Legislative Assembly continued in Andhra Pradesh as well. During the joint session of the House on Monday, Telugu Desam Party MLAs not only obstructed the Governor’s address but also tore the copies of the speech by going to the Well. Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan completed his welcome address amid slogans to go back to the Governor.

Although later Congress MLAs also tried to gather in the lobby but marshals stopped them, there was a dispute over this.
The MLAs sat on a dharna in the lobby itself and kept raising slogans against the governor. After the Governor’s address, which lasted for about an hour, he was taken out of the house to the safe Raj Bhavan under the supervision of marshals.
There has also been a ruckus in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
Earlier in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat also there was a ruckus between the address of the Governor. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu objected to this attitude and called it a threat to democracy. He also appealed to end this practice.
