In the budget session of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, BJP workers created a ruckus on Wednesday. BJP workers demanded withdrawal of suspension of two MLAs who were suspended for the rest of the budget session. During Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s counter-speech on Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar’s address, BJP MLAs continued to create ruckus and sloganeering for about 40 minutes. Creating a ruckus, BJP MLAs also raised slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in front of Mamata Banerjee, to which Mamata Banerjee retaliated by chanting ‘Jai Bangla’. At the same time, Mamta Banerjee advised the BJP workers to say ‘Jai Siya Ram’.
During this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also targeted the BJP. He said the saffron party wanted to disturb the peace in the state while the TMC wanted peace. During this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, referring to the uproar during the Governor’s address on Monday, said that BJP members had tried to disrupt the proceedings of the House on Monday as well, but were not successful. He also thanked Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar for this.
