New Delhi. A major accident took place today near Srinagar in Kashmir. A boat sank in Jhelum river in Batwara area of Srinagar in which several people are feared dead. There were mostly school children and some laborers in this boat. So far 4 bodies have been recovered. SDRF team is engaged in rescue work. Seven people have been rescued safely, of which three have been admitted to SMDS Hospital in Srinagar. While the search for others is ongoing.

The four people whose bodies have been recovered so far have been identified as Gulzar Ahmed (41), Shabir Ahmed (26) and two women aged about 32 and 18 years.
