India defeated Singapore 3-1 in the final match. In doubles for India, Sathiyan Gyanasekaran and Harmeet Desai put on strong performances to beat Yong Izak Kwek and Yu N Koen Pang. In the men’s singles match, Harmeet Desai gave a gold medal by performing well. In the first doubles of the team event, the pair of Sathiyan and Harmeet registered a 3-1 win. They defeated Singapore’s Yang Yek and Yu Peng 13-11, 11-7 and 11-5.
After this, Sharath Kamal had to face defeat in the singles match, but in the second singles, India has hoisted the flag of victory. In this, Sathiyan won 3-1. He gave the team a 2-1 lead. Harmeet defeated Clarence Chew 11-8, 11-5, 11-6 in the fourth game to give India victory. In the end, Harmeet won his singles match and gave India the gold.
